WHAT IS HORIZONS FOR THE BLIND? Horizons for the Blind is a Not-for-Profit organization founded in 1977 to improve the quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired.More than 70 per cent of the staff at Horizons for the Blind is made up of people who are blind or visually impaired. Working as a team with sighted members of the staff, we strive to improve quality of life and assist people to achieve their full potential.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Accessibility enhances independence for all people who are blind or visually impaired. There is an ever growing population of older residents who are visually impaired.
